Boundary County Translator District
Regular Meeting—Board of Directors

Chairman Mike Listman called the regular meeting of the Boundary County Translator District Board of Directors to order at 10:00 a.m.
1. Roll Call Present:
a. Board Members:
Barry Coleman - Excused Michael Listman
Owen Plato - Excused Allen Gemmrig - Excused
Carl Hendricks Anthony Compton - Excused
Also Present:
Deborah Youngwirth Mike Ladely
2. Minutes of Previous Meeting
No quorum present to approve prior month’s minutes.
3. Treasurer’s Report
No quorum present to approve treasurer’s report.
4. Old Business:
a. Booth at Fair – we were not able to get a booth in place in time, however the FCC did send information that was distributed by board members at the amateur radio booth as well as Radio Shack booth.
5. Maintenance Report
a. Quote for PLC & piping – came in at $3500 – 4000. This would need to be done by the end of September before weather gets bad.
b. Snow access – quote came in at $3500 – this can probably wait until next year to be done.
c. Mike Ladely met Mike Cramblit at Black Mountain who gave some recommendations on equipment needed. He recommended getting antenaes ordered, call Larkin to see if we can direct buy and check on number of band filters required by FCC.
d. Gary Gage is still wanting to put equipment on Copper Creek – Mike Ladely will keep in communication to keep board updated.
e. Mike Ladely is going to Black Mountain today to check out problems with Channel 35 & 50.
f. Received license for 91.9.
g. Allen put together a draft copy of tower climbing rules – Mike Ladely will see if Allen has it electronically to be distributed for review prior to the next board meeting.
h. Mike Ladely will pick up a couple of DTV converter boxes today to test out at Black Mountain today. He tried a pass-through converter that Cramblit had and it worked very well.
6. New Business:

8. Emergency Response Committee Report:
a. None.
